Solar Panel Installation in Murphy, TX

We size a solar system to how your home actually uses power, then put the full scope and price in writing before anyone climbs a ladder. You see the panels, the inverter, the permit work and the cost of each. No add-ons show up later.

What a Solar Install Covers

Solar panel installation means a full working system on your home. That includes panels, racking, an inverter or microinverters, wiring, a disconnect, the city permit and the utility hookup. We handle all of it, start to finish.

It's the right call when your roof has good years left, gets real sun most of the day, and your summer bills hurt. If one of those isn't true, we'll tell you on the first visit. Sometimes the honest answer is to wait.

We've been in business 5 years. Every quote we write lists each part of the job and what it costs, so you can line it up against anyone else's.

What's in Every Install

Site and roof check
We look at roof age, pitch, shading from trees and which faces get afternoon sun. We also check your main electrical panel, since some older panels need an upgrade before solar can tie in.
System sizing from your bills
We use twelve months of your electric bills to size the system. Too small leaves savings on the table. Too big means paying for panels your home can't use.
Written line-item quote
Panels, inverters, racking, electrical work, permits and labor each get their own line. If your main panel needs work, that's on paper too, not a surprise on install day.
Permits and approvals handled
Our crew files the permit application with the city, books the inspector and sends the interconnection request to your utility. HOAs often want a drawing that shows where the panels will sit, and we help you put that together.
Monitoring setup
Before we leave, we connect your system's monitoring app and show you how to read it. You'll see daily production and spot a problem early.

Signs Solar Makes Sense for Your Home

  • Summer bills keep climbing

Long North Texas summers mean months of heavy AC use. If July and August bills are what you dread, solar cuts the part you buy from the grid.

  • Your roof gets open sun

South and west faces with little shade from trees or neighbors do the most work. East-facing roofs can still pay off, just more slowly.

  • Your roof has years left

Panels stay up 25 years or more. If your shingles are near the end, it's smarter to have the roof redone before panels go up, so they don't have to come off later.

  • You plan to stay put

Solar earns back its cost slowly, over a span of years. The longer you live in your home, the more of those savings land with you.

What Moves the Price

No two solar systems are priced the same, because no two homes use power the same way. These are the things that push the number up or down. Each one shows up as its own line on your written quote.

System size

More panels cost more up front but cover more of your bill. Your usage history sets the right size.

Equipment choice

Panel brand and efficiency matter, and so does picking a string inverter or microinverters. We walk you through what each choice gets you for the money.

Roof layout and access

Steep pitches, two-story homes, tile roofs and roofs split into many small faces take more labor and racking.

Electrical panel work

If your main panel is too small or too old to accept solar, it may need an upgrade. We check this up front so it's priced from the start.

Adding a battery

Pairing panels with battery storage raises the cost but keeps power on during outages. We can price it both ways so you can compare.

How the Job Goes

  1. 1

    Phone call and first visit

We talk through your bills and goals by phone, then come out to look at the roof and electrical panel. Bring up anything that worries you.

  2. 2

    Scope and price on paper

You get the scope and price in writing, line by line. Take your time. Nothing moves forward until you sign.

  3. 3

    Permits and approvals

We file with the city, the utility and your HOA if needed. This stretch takes the most time, so we check on it and call you with updates.

  4. 4

    Install day

On a typical home the crew is there one to three days. We work safely on the roof, keep the yard clear and haul off every scrap. That safety record earned us the Liberty Mutual Platinum Safety Award.

  5. 5

    Inspection and turn-on

The city inspects the work, the utility gives permission to operate, and we switch the system on with you there.

Questions About Installing Solar

How soon after signing will my system be running?

Typically several weeks. We spend one to three days installing. The rest is waiting on the city permit, inspection and utility approval, and we keep tabs on each step for you.

Is the installation under warranty?

Yes. Our 10-year workmanship warranty on solar covers the installation itself. The panels and inverters have separate manufacturer warranties, and we give you those in writing.

How do panels stand up to hail?

Good panels are usually impact-tested for hail and often hold up better than shingles. A severe storm can still break the glass. Make sure your homeowner's policy includes the system, and if it gets damaged, our solar repair team can check it.

Do you work outside Murphy?

Yes. We install in Wylie, Sachse, Parker, Plano, Allen and other nearby towns. Each city's permit process differs slightly, and we take care of all of them.

How am I credited for surplus power sent to the grid?

Across much of this area, the buyback rate is set by your retail electric provider, and it varies widely by plan. We explain how it works so you can choose a plan suited to a home with solar.
